An exhibition featuring Artists Don Orr, Harriet Lee, Juel Grant, Jill M Spear, Sandy Friedman and Darla Slee. This show explores the viewer’s relationship with the artwork.
A “whisper” may beckon the viewer closer, creating a sense of intimacy between the viewer and the art. A “shout” may require the viewer to step back to take in the scope of the work. Some elements defining artwork as “whispers” or “shouts” are size, detail, composition, texture, color, value, theme and the perception of the viewer.
Artwork will be hung and pedestal displayed in alternating “whispers” & shouts. Each participant is invited but not required to explore and exhibit examples of both “voices.”
